I goofed this all up Aries, I'm sorry =[ I misread that it was going to be 8 est and thought it was 8 central. Then for the last 2 hours my power has been out due to Hurricane Katrina. I accept full responsibility for wasting your guilds' time and would like to reschedule if you guys would have us. Sorry again to everyone in Blood Legion on behalf of Warpath =[ <3<3<3<3<3

Can we have a do over too? LOL

Nice job in BRM the other night rolling us while we were waiting to zone into MC. After you sent me that /whisper, I turn around and was like "Crap! Here they come! I guess we are fighting"

I wonder what your take is on the following:

It seems that whenever a raid force moves forward to attack in BRM or Searing Gorge, they cause the opposing force (who is just waiting there) to lag. I realize both sides lag, but there is definitely more lag involved with the group who is sitting and waiting.

I remember this from my DIE days when you guys rushed us at the gate to Loch Modan and we had our casters ready on the hill. We were ready and waiting for Grayrage to call his target. WE saw red, and then...lagfest screenfreeze. Then we were dead. This same thing happens quite often and I wondered if you guys had noticed a similiar problem and what can be done about it.

The reason I ask is because Phalanx is definitely wanting to do some 40 vs. 40, but we want at least an even playing field on the lag issue. Let me know if you guys have found a good zone for doing a large scale battle. Maybe we can hook something up and have some fun one of these nights soon.

The problem is that area...I'm sure we can set-up a nice get together in another zone. We have had 40v40s near onxyias lair and it wasn't to bad. So the zone is one problem. The other is, there will always be lag, and the only way i can see to fix it is:

#1 Meet in a zone, far enough away from each other to render the other side. Renedering the otherside is what is the main problem. Everything in WoW is uncompressed from the harddrive, and it just takes time to uncompress.

#2 Try to get into AV with both guilds.

Other than those 2 options, you just do the best you can, and have as much fun as possible.

I agree, its just that general area. We've had fights in Searing Gorge where both forces fought with limited amounts of lag.

Best place to 40v40 is The Barrens:

1. wide open spaces (no terrain advantages)
2. lowbie mobs

only downside is that it's horde territory, so to be fair BL would need to /pvp tag themselves before the fight starts.

tenaris was always a favorate of mine, absoloutly no terrain and both horde and alliance main fps.

Actually Tanaris does sound like a good place - maybe even Desolace. These areas have less terrain to load and fewer PC's in them generally.

Let me get my IRC going and we will hook up sometime soon. Since we are a newer guild we have a few things to learn about large scale fighting in WoW but it would be a lot of fun to fight some guilds like BL, Invictus and Angry. We are averaging about 8-9 epics per MC run right now so we are trying to play catch-up of sorts but we will certainly show up and do our best. The best part will be we won't make excuses.

Thanks for the positive feedback and see you guys soon!

Generally the Charging force has the advantage, both sides lag to shit, but the charging force atleast has been spamming their attacks/spells for a bit longer.

We've been charged and completely freeze up and you can see the combat log going nuts but your screen is frozen, lag goes away and you find yourself dead. Sometimes theres no lag, sometimes its so much the server crashes.

When you're ina zone with only 2 raid groups the lag isnt that bad, its defintely playable, but more than 80 ppl and its game over.

The best part will be we won't make excuses.

you're "Ok" in my book =] Most of the time the best and most fun battles go untold, Thats my feeling anyways.
