Hello, BL

Postby triloh on Mon Jan 23, 2006 12:07 pm

Hello, i'm Triloh, =) i'm a lvl 31 tauren druid that tried to start a guild, called Kahuna, it's stressin' me out, because the actual guild leader won't do anything for us. I'mdoing all the recruiting. So i recently started to come up with a new plan. I've heard that you guys are the best of the best. So I wanted to know, if I could be you guys' unofficial apprentice, I've had a 60 gnome mage on shadowmoon, and haven't done MC or BWL, i did do Onyxia once, but it wasn't successful. I'm new to the horde side and don't know much about the horde side. So this is why i'm here, I'm wondering if you could take me as an apprentice, you could teach me everything there is to know about tips on doing MC/BWL/Onyxia.

Just thought i'd let you guys know what i'm here for, if you'd take me.
Thanks, Triloh

Triloh,

Sup bro, keep grinding put all your points into feril for now and grind a few levels a day. Druids are a slow class to level but worth it in the end they have the flexability to do many things for many differnt playstyles. When you hit level 50 go all resto and heal bot thru instnaces and gear up. Become comfortable with using CT-raid/swiftshift and healing many groups and using lower level heals to conserve mana. Time your innervates and combat res and have an understanding for when they are needed. Use lower level healing touches whenever possible to save mana and you will fit the needs of a raid guild.

Aquintis, you levelled your druid before the changes to cat form didn't you? I found levelling my druid to be quick and easy, MUCH faster than my warlock was. Mine's 58 and I pretty much stayed feral for now because she can kill mobs virtually non-stop, only popping up for an occasional rejuve. I have an INT set of armor that gives me about 6.3k mana when running instances, but I find even w/o restore I do fine. I plan on going full restore at 60, though.

Oh, don't get me wrong, bro, up to 45 it was just fine, just fine. When your spells start taking bigger chunks of mana, and you find yourself more frequently with multiple mobs on you, then you'll get the picture. The problem with the warlock vs druid isn't how fast you can kill individual mobs... its downtime between them. You will soon be frustrated by how much time you spend on your ass.

heh, greatest thing about a feral druid is that you don't need your mana for dps, just healing yourself. There is literally NO downtime

Not a second, hardly. About the only time I'd drink was after a combat where I may have healed between mobs on a multiple pull or after I rebuffed.

I think the greatest thing about feral druid is the fact that you can have more intellect then most mages at your level once you get heart of the wild. I've main healed Uld/ZF/ST/Mara uncountable times and people are always like, man your so good at healing, then I tell them that I'm feral specced with only like 10 points in resto atm, and they laugh, cry, then laugh some more. Heart of the Wild pwnz, and if I'm not playing the main healer/backup healer, then all melee and ranged people bow to me for my 3% crit increase.

I think the BEST thing about feral druids is how they can do their ambush thing for 1500+ to plate, while daggers can barely pierce plate.

QFT.

I respecc'd full restore for one big BRD run and I was flabbergasted by how much mana I lost. Sure it was made up somewhat with some skills that reduce spell costs, and the faster cast time on HT was nice, but I don't think I was that dramatically better a healer than when I was Feral. In my int gear, with full feral, I easily had 6.5k mana buffed at lvl 56, and most of it was lvl 40-45 cloth stuff. I was going to wait until 60 to get better.

I saw her pop up on the dkp page over the weekend, and I thought she might be back on occasionally. It has been damn frustrating not being on, I assure you. I'd love to raid this weekend. Just PM me the info when you have time.
