Acidwalk thank you for your questions. Its difficult to compare the breakdown of my healing on heroic spine and madness vs yours on normal because they are largely different fights all together in the way you approach it as a holy paladin. It doesnt look like your guild is struggling at all on these fights on normal so i'll explain to you how I handle the fights on heroic so you know going into them. For any given fight I always try and determine which healing role my class performs best in relation to the tasks at hand, on heroic spine your ability as a holy paladin to dump sizeable heals into 2 debuffs at once is by far your most valuable asset. I looked at your parse and it seems you are getting very little production out of beacon. I am constantly throwing beacon up on fresh debuffs as they come out, changing beacon probably 30+ times during the fight. My top 2 heals are beacon and divine light with holy radiance being something like #7 for my typically. Your beacon is goldly for knocking off debuffs, use holy shock on cd for cheap holy power generation and wog debuffs at 3 holy power, the only time you should ever consider using holy raidiance or light of dawn is during rolling the boss or during superheated. Outside of those times passive aoe healing effects such as healing rain, maces, eflo, trinkets etc etc is MORE than enough to top the very minimal raid dmg that ONLY comes from bloods dying and occasional ticks of the fiery grip.
When you go to heroic spine use your guardian on the first set of debuffs, you'll be able to get it off 3 times during the fight, LOH sometime before the 1min to 1:30min mark and you'll be able to get LOH of 2 times which will almost single handidly knock off an entire debuff. Constantly refresh your beacon on new debuffs as they come out, On the 3rd plate switch becaons to tanks to compensate for their increased dmg from bloods.
On spine:
- YOU ARE NOT A PRIMARY TANK HEALER
- YOU ARE NOT A RAID HEALER
- YOU ARE A DEBUFF OWNING MACHINE, EVERY heal you cast goes into a debuff.
Madness no matter what you do you'll be scraping the barrel trying to find mana. Its important to remember that cheap holy power generation is GOD. During the arm tentacle burn its recommended to use crusader strike for cheap hp production for LOD. holy shock, crusader strike, holy radiance, LOD. You are still getting raiding healing out, producing 3 holy power cheaply and quickly and LOD is keeping your raid alive.
Spec/Gear Analysis:
The ONLY fight where you would ever need imp judgement is on Zonozz. I'd carry a 2nd spec where you max last word or blessed life as imp judgement does absolutely nothing for you. Most fights you dont even need magic dispel. We do a no dispel strat on Zonozz and I am aoe healing so priest or shamans dispel on hagara, and priest covers dispels on ultraxion so you'll rarely find me using a spec that has imp judgement or sacred cleansing.
Gear/Reforging is fine, holy paladin is pretty straight forward, keep filling in epic gems as you get them. If you are having mana issues (and you will on Heroics!) I'd very much recommned going into Bastion of Twilight and getting a heroic Chogal trinket (Fall of Mortality). The spirit proc is huge, all of our holy paladins used it through progression and continue using it now depending on the fight.
If you have any question let me know.
