Wow, thanks for the additional help: I was just about to egin asking about leveling builds. I couldn't decide between feral and balance -- I'd assume balance produces the highest DPS, but it isn't sustainable because of mana limitations. Feral is slightly lower, but more consistent and grindable. That's my gut feeling, anyway: can one of you more experienced Druids confirm or deny these suspicions.

Secondly, a question to Verbim: why would you choose Bear form over Cat form for straight level grinding? Does the increased bear defense decrease down time sufficiently, or do bears just have higher DPS with the correct talents?

However I feel in the current game ballance hunter is an extremely weak class.

I disagree, I LOVE having Drakkar in my group no matter what class make up we are pvping against......the same goes for PvE.

Sucky players give people these misconceptions for alot of classes....its like when MS was nerfed, all the wars were crying that their class sucks, and look at wars now, people just need to learn their characters capabilities.

I swears, wars now are such in part because of the weapons and buttloads of armor they're socking in MC. 60+ dps 2handers? 50+ dps 1handers? gg.

If you ever looked at quel'serrar the damage is pretty low, its just that it hits pretty fast. Axe of the deep woods has higher top end damage

It's both, actually. bear does have lower downtime, speeding up progress over time. and while catform is the highest dps for single target killing, bearform has higher overall dps while fighting multiple targets (due to thorns and swipe)

just kill 4 mobs at once, heal to full, then regen your mana while killing another couple mobs in catform.
