Could someone post a good, pre 40 (holy) and post 40 (shadow) specc priest template?

i think you have your () mixed up shadow is best pre 55~+ holy is arguably better afterwards

from my experience you can successfully single heal up to lbrs as full shadow/disc. after 55 i respeced to disc/holy simply because i wanted a change not because i needed to.

im a soloing maniac due to my many years of forced teaming in other mmos. with full shadow i had hardly any down time while grinding mobs and quests thanks to spirit tap where as its the complete opposite for me with disc/holy. to kill at the same pace i find myself drinking every 3 to 4 mobs where with shadow i wouldnt even bother having water in my bags for 3 or 4 hours of questing/grinding.

anyways.. ;p heres my suggested builds based on you wanting to respec after 40 it looks like

pre 40 (shadow - like i said holy aint worth it at the low lvls)

 - Improved SW: Pain: 2/2
 - Blackout: 5/5 -> 3/5 until you get mindflay/imp scream
 - Mind Flay: 1/1 (a must have)
 - Improved Pyschic Scream: 2/2
 - Improved Fade: 2/2
 - Shadow Focus: 3/5
 - Silence: 1/1 (a must have)

Total Points: 21 (lvl30)


Discipline:
 - Unbreakable Will: 5/5
 - Improved PW: Shield: 3/3

that leaves you 2 talent points to play with if you dont want to respec i would suggest spending those points in shadow. if youre going to respec might as well put em into disc for imp fort or matyrdom since at low lvls tanks tend to suck and a free cast after a crit is noice



Post 40 (holy) i prefere disc/holy instead of holy/disc but im stickin to what you requested

Stay shadow till you start doing MC, you can do everything else being shadow spec. Actually you could do MC shadow aswell...you could do MC with no talents aslong as you know how to play your class.

I was shadow/disc until we started doing MC, now im holy/disc and i still do decent in pvp.
