Hey just had a question concerning raid DPS. From Armory and WWS I know you DPS as 33/28, and did more damage than any other raiding Arms warrior I've seen thus far.

Now that the Windfury nerf is hotfixed onto live servers, meaning that instant special attacks no longer proc Windfury, have you changed anything? If spamstring is totally worthless now, I was wondering if you changed your spec to Improved Slam etc., or if you're just sticking with what you already do.

i do the same as i did before, but i heroic strike more instead of wasting rage to keep my ratio of threat/dmg down.

basically i couldent go all out before and now i can, so my dmg is about the same somehow. i can ride the line much better now because i can guess how much a spike is gonna increase my aggro, before i had to plan ahead for a 12k dmg spike and had to maintain a good distance below the MT.

my rotation is pretty simple its all rage management, ms, ww, hamstring, heroic at 65+ rage (if you ever heroic to the point your not using every global cooldown its bad). alot of the time its got more to do with your trinket/timer rotations. bl is starting to kill bosses so fast i only have time to deathwish once, so i save it for 20%. i also used to dual wield for executes but i think its kinda terrible now, i execute with a rotation like: ms, exec, ww, exec, ms, exec. having an ability to use every global cooldown>big ass executes and then waiting.

Thanks for the info. My guild isn't anywhere near Blood Legion in terms of DPS benchmarks, we're only now just finishing up in SSC and TK, but the basic principles are pretty similar.

I used to run an Imp. Slam build and it just isn't worth it. Even with Quartz, the latency is such that if you make one tiny error you ruin your cycle and reset the swing timer. Now that Slam doesn't proc Windfury (even though it isn't instant cast), there's no point whatsoever to spec into it. I've been trying out the build both you and Schmity use recently, and I've seen a large increase in DPS.

I used to dual wield at <20% as well, but the rage generation wasn't all that superior. My gear has a lot of hit on it, but not nearly enough to dual wield effectively. A string of misses would effectively cripple DPS, and I no longer risk it.

Thanks a lot for the insight. I had a lot of concerns because of the Windfury hotfix, but if you're still doing well (with a more accurate margin for aggro estimation) then I'm not as worried.

If by + you mean a sum of two infinite sums and by large values of one you mean a series convergin to one from above (with either one alternating or having both dense positives and negatives in the sequence), then indeed 1 + 1 can = 3 although you need to show a complete disregard for series ethics. In fact, With such disregard, either one of the sums could probably = 3 on its own, or any number you like.
