Ever try a 20/41 spec Serida? I found a rather nice guide but the spec wasn't happening for me. (www).honorbound.se/slamdps2.pdf.

PS I'm not a spammer, I found this guide in the warrior forums

yea i tried 20/41/0 with both torch and cataclysms edge. it did nearly the exact same dps as 33/28 but i didint have blood frenzy adding 400-500 dps to the raid.

imo rampage is the problem, waste too many global cooldowns and rage on keeping it up. also all of the best stuff in arms is between 15 and 33 pts, so only getting 20 doesnt let you get much of it.

ill try fury again when it gets blood frenzy or i have 2x warglaives, its just an inferior spec for now.

What do you think of an imp slam rotation? I tried the rotation you use and it is substantially lower then my slam rotation. I don't know if a gear difference would account for this or not. I'm kind of curious what you think.

i havent really tried imp slam since we took alot of nerfs, i found (un-nerfed) dragonspine and swordspec to make my swing timer too inaccurate. ive also heard the nerfs slowed down rage gen and made imp slam harder to make consistently perfect rotations with. also most ppl who favor slam use a 3.8 and i use a 3.5.

what sort of dps are you doing with each spec? its kinda hard to advise anything without knowing that.

We are doing a lot of TK right now...generally my dps on trash is around 900-1200. On void reaver if we can manage to get an enhancement shaman on my dps is 850ish. That's with a blood frenzy spec...I've never actually raided without improved slam, I've only tried the different rotation in a pseudo dps test in blasted lands and it happened to be lower then the imp slam rotation test.

I guess the main thing I just cant get through my head is how a single HS would do more damage then an auto attack followed by a slam almost immediately afterward. By doing that I'm also able to slowly build up rage even without critting.

Maybe I'm totally missing something because you're doing at least as much dps as any fury warrior I've seen on WWS. I have mostly season 2 pvp gear along with some tier 4 and the odd off-set piece. I have 1866 unbuffed ap and 29.3% crit using the season 2 sword.

for one, void reaver sucks, i normally only do about 900-1100 also, he has way too much armor and you gotta start slow.

blasted lands is kind of a weak comparison. your crit should be slightly lower than normal vs a boss but its like +20% vs blasted lands mobs.

my main objections to slam are:
less white dmg total (every slam delays it .5sec +response time)

it delays ms/ww by small amounts of time which slowly add up to less ms and ww than possible during a fight

i dont like how much rage you need for an optimal slam rotation. i can normally get to 50+ rage and stabilize my dps rotation within 6 seconds without slam but sometimes it takes 10-15 sec to get the rage to do complete slam rotations and then when you need to stop dpsing it takes more time to start up again.

i tend to die like a noob watching my swing timer.slam is fantastic on teron where you stand completely still and dps without stopping for the entire fight but it has fucked me up on fights like supremus and council where you can stand still for 10 seconds at most.

i also dont like to slam during bloodlust/drums/dragonspine. if my swing speed is 1.9 sec and im loosing 0.6 to slam 1/3 of my white dmg is traded for the slam dmg which isint very good considering you loose a ton of rage.

Well I tried out your rotation and changed my spec around a little bit. It really is amazing. The biggest shock for me was seeing how much dps I was losing with my slam rotation during heroism, haste trinket etc.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to test the rotation on an ideal melee friendly boss (we were doing al'ar), but I noticed a huge difference on trash. I'd say my average dps was about 100 points higher on trash, and my spike dps went way up, sometimes as high as 1500.

Thanks for the input. Good luck in Sunwell.

dont think i can pve with any other enchant anymore.
